I just did some checking and that was the one with super high annual fee. I didn't qualify for the CSR, way over the 5/24
How much was the annual fee?
Not sure if I should go with one with the 50K sign on or wait for a higher offer; I feel like a higher offer is unlikely to happen again any time soon.

I'm not the PP you're quoting, but I saw it with a $450 annual fee!
I work full time. No gap years.
My passion is photography and I travel every chance I get to go to interesting places to take pjotos.
Here is where I have been to since 2006 (just over 10 years) https://www.flickr.com/photos/phil_marion/albums
How do I do it?
No kids, a wife that has the same interests to travel and not have ids.
I have a union job - God bless unions and I pity anti-union folks who hate unions. Hope they enjoy their 2 weeks a year.
As I have over 15 years service at work I get 5 weeks paid vacation a year plus 2 additional days. I always travel over Xmas so that I get 3 more days vacation (the statutory days don't count).
I live in a major city and use public transit and bicycle to get to work. Carless living saves thousands of bucks a year.
For hotel cards, the Chase IHG one is a useful one to hang onto. 60-80K sign up bonus, and then a $49 annual fee that gets you Platinum Elite status (50% bonus points on paid stays and the occasional complimentary upgrade) a 10% rebate on points stays and an unrestricted one free night at any IHG property worldwide. Granted finding free night availability for the Intercontinental Thalasso Bora Bora is supposed to be an utter unicorn hunt, but there are a lot of other high end hotels that go for a couple hundred euros a night where people reportedly use their free night certificate just fine.

I think having no kids and no car saves tons. Also live in a space that is appropriate for the household. I see so many families of 3 or 4 living in their 2500 or 3000sf homes, and then complain everything is so expensive.
Priorities. If you have wanderlust and want or need to fulfill it, you will just have to set that is one of your life priorities, and use your money and your time to do that, instead of lesser things. It helps if you also have another hobby that can be pursued while traveling. Mine is birdwatching.
You have to start early, too. Arrange your professional career and your family planning in order to make travel fit into it. A lot of people, by the time they are 25, have already made lifelong commitments that clash with travel.
It depends on your priorities. To me memories and experiences far outweigh material goods. I could go out tomorrow and put some money down on a new Challenger or Lincoln. However, I'm happy with my 10-year old Altima and having that downpayment and monthly payment go towards places to go and things to see.
