Flying to Asia from the West Coast is actually much cheaper than flying from East Coast. You can fly to Hong Kong for roughly $800 - $900, maybe less if you fly cheap airlines like Air china. You have to pay almost double from the East Coast. Cathay Pacific has their around Asia ticket for around $900 from LAX or SFO and you can visit up to 4 cities using this program.

Based on the info you provided: Cabo San Lucas. I wouldn't worry about Spanish- everyone will speak English.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I still haven't decided yet but end of November looks like the plan.

Yes, definitly the bahamas, but having been there 6 times, I've never had anymore issues with WIFI than I have in the USA, even in the far out islands like Mayaguana and Rum Cay

Cabo was just whacked very hard by hurricane Odile. I would give them plenty of time to rebuild before visiting.

Agree. I have a feeling Cabo is more or less closed for business for at least a year.
