As crazy as this sounds, I've heard that on certain people it has worked wonders in very quickly erasing their fear of flying. Not only that, but a few of these people even went on to take flying lessons and earn their private pilot certificate!!!!

That's a very good idea and a nice offer, Papafox! As a therapist, systematic desensitization (sort of what you would be doing in a sense) is very beneficial to overcoming fears. Also, once she understands some of the mechanics behind flying, it might help her alleviate her apprehension and the mystery behind it all. (Although I'll admit, it still blows my mind how it actually works....I've flown all over the world and my husband is a fixed wing/helicopter pilot with 18,000 hours...I still prefer to just let it happen and not really think about it or the possibilities!)
