Things you took the trouble to go and see, just to say that you have seen them, but didn't have any particular interest in seeing them
I went inside to see the Mona Lisa, but I have little interest in viewing art.
I climbed to the top of the Great Pyramid, only because a friend had once told me he regretted not doing it.
Top of St. Louis Arch, Washington Monument.
Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty from a great distance but I "took note of them", they're on my list.
The Midnight Sun.
A packaged jungle tour in the Amazon in Ecuador.
The Great Rift Valley in Kenya and the Fish River Canyon in Namibia.
Make your answer detailed enough, if necessary, that we will know which YOU mean. Is there a diffeence in your mind between the places a tourist sees, and he places a tourist visits? Do you need to SEE or VISIT Iguazu Falls or the Leaning Tower of Pisa, in order to put it on your list of travel experiences? How long do you need to be present, to count it as a visit? Obviously, it is of no value to SEE Antoine's Restaurant, but how do you VISIT Old Faithful?

World Trade Center.
White House (what a let down)
Statue of Liberty
Vatican
Smithsonian (let down!!)
Times Square
Not sure i'd go to the WTC again. I liked it and was very fascinated but once is enough imo. I always go to these places to say that i've been there (like you) but then spend the rest of the trip in local areas.
I'd rather not be pestered with leaflets for open top bus tours.

Really? - you can CLIMB the Great Pyramid? In Egypt? They won't even let you go to the top of Chichen Itza anymore.....sounds bogus - any pics of someone climbing up?
I want to go every where and do everything, except for Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I hope some day it will be different. You can keep Grand Turk island. That was the only vacation I hated.

In another post you self-describe as being blind...
Legally blind and significantly handicapped, which does not necessarily mean that I see "nothing". And I haven't always been blind. Although I started the thread and gave my own examples, you are free to talk about yourself (which you probably know something about), instead of about me.

There might be other things to experience, besides "these things".
