I did one of these hemispheric reversals in 2007, went to Santiago, Chile, mid-September, their mid-February, and I thought the winter cold would be over by then, but I was a little early! Quite pleasant, day time, but quite chilly at night! Mediterranean climate as well, dry cold!

The overnight lows here are about 20 degrees warmer than that, and we consider that a cool down!

Default pacifica or half moon bay Ca guranteed cool and VERY expensive

with salmon swimming close right now! Tough to get in or out of though and just a few miles south of S.F.
Best real estate investments for long term are the cool places in my humble opinion . It will be 125 degrees inland very soon and
very often.

Fly Air NZ from LA and get a free stop-over in the Cook Islands for a few weeks to warm up / acclimate.
Cook Islands Weather

SF is pretty sure to be chilly, and you can get there from LV for $39. Bit cheaper than NZ. I really enjoyed a Weekend at The Presidio recently. Free shuttle bus to 'the city' & Ferry Building. Get a translink / Clipper card and take the ferries. .
