Has anybody taken any recent vacations? If so, where? OR, if you have a trip planned, where is it to?

Our last family vacation was to Illinois to see my parents for Thanksgiving. We plan to have our next vacation sometime in April.

We were in Aruba in February, Toronto in August, San Francisco in October and took a few shorter trips in between. We're heading to Singapore in January and looking at somewhere in Europe in summer or early fall.

September we did a tour of Rhode Island and Mass. Among other things we toured historical villages from 1600s, 1700s and 1800s.

We have a cruise scheduled in about two months to Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico.

We went to Puerto Vallarta in December. It was just okay, neither the beach itself nor the city is worth a second visit. The best part is that area south of downtown that must be the gay retiree capital of the North America, we had a great time at the bars down there. Pretty good esplanade as well. Way overpriced food/activities since touristy, three very average tacos for 160 pesos that's insane.

Going on a trip to Washington DC to visit parents in the spring, then probably back to Asia in the summer starting with Bangkok.

The last vacation I took was to NYC for Thanksgiving. Previously, I was in Las Vegas this past July.

I'm currently planning my next vacation for June, which will include a week in Honolulu and then probably venturing off to some Asian country for a week before returning to DC.

Wife and I went to San Juan for 3 days for her birthday several weeks ago without the kids! Currently on a 2-week trip to visit family/friends in Jacksonville and then Orlando. Next trip will be starting in February for 6 weeks...to China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. These aren't really vacations though, just trips. Really only the San Juan one would I consider a vacation lol.

Just returned from a solo Tokyo, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap (Angkor Wat), Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Bangkok, Saigon, Taipei trip. Trip of a lifetime! I'll be posting reports on TripAdvisor and would be happy to repost here if there's interest.

We were in Vancouver BC for Christmas just like every year. We've been on a spring/fall Europe trip cycle for a few years flying one of the Saturday morning day flights from Boston/London to Heathrow. First week of October was Galicia Spain. 2nd week of May will be London/Paris.

The Budget-Buster is coming up in March.

Overseas Adventure Travel to the Galapagos but including Macchu Picchu and Ecuador with a pre-trip to Bolivia. I've already paid for the tour and airfare so remaining expenses won't be too bad other than gratuities to the guides. My passport is with a professional visa service at the moment so I can get a Bolivian visa. Have already gotten altitude sickness pills and am considering typhoid immunizations. Should be a great trip!

We took the trans-Atlantic cruise to Barcelona, then spent 6 weeks in Greece last spring. I LOVE the Aegean and the Greek people! (and the cruise)

Next week, we go to Valencia, Spain and Portugal. Get out of the heat this time of year.
