I-11, especially the portion between Phoenix and the Las Vegas border. The current road US60 and US93 are largely two lanes. It is probably the only remaining road between two cities larger than a million that are not connected by interstate.
The entire road should run from Nogales, AZ to the Washington/British Columbia border.. Unfortunately, that will not happen in my lifetime.
No more interstates in the PNW, thank-you. Too many people driving too fast already.
Perhaps a North Country highway in NY that connects Watertown to Plattsburgh. Route 3 does this, but it is a 2 lane road. Route 11 is similar and can get to 4 lanes in parts, but isn’t a true highway.
This could be another way to get to Montreal without going into Canada, as Montreal is only an hour from Plattsburgh. This can go the other way in terms of going west as well to other Canadian(Ottawa, Toronto, etc.) or to the bigger Upstate cities.
Maine really could use an East/west interstate or toll turnpike. There was a lot of interest a few years ago but the NIMBY's killed it.
