I got robbed last week by two barely eighteen year old hoodlums in broad daylight in my quiet little suburban town when I was taking a walk around one o'clock in the afternoon. I'm not sheltered. I am also not a small guy. I am 6'1" with an average build and I have lived in some pretty scary places in my lifetime. However, I had never been robbed in my life until last week. Neither of the robbers displayed weapons, but they acted like they weren't afraid to beat the sh*t out of me, stab me or worse. They demanded money, so I handed over what little money I had and I ran as they chased me. I luckily was able to plead with a cab driver to give me a ride back home and get away from these dead end kids wanting to take the sneakers off my feet and hat off my head. I also remember what is was like to be a disenfranchised rebellious eighteen year old high school dropout in my wilder days so I knew not to test these bold youngsters so eager to do the wrong thing. All in all, it was a very frightening and intense situation. I am still a little shook up by it. Has anyone here ever been robbed? How did you deal with it?
