If I put an injunction for protection against a person and they got served their papers, dose that mean that he/she cannot contact me? ie. Lets say that I put an injunction on joe doe, he got served on 9/6 and joe called me on 9/7, can he be arrested for violating an injunction?
Probably, if the injunction was a restraining order, and he wasn't to contact you. You'd have to have solid proof though...violating an injunction can result in an immediate jail sentence...course I ain't no lawyer, so that's just my guess.
Daughter had a stalker and we went to court and got a restraining order. The order worked and he has stayed away. I don't know about an injunction. It would depend upon how the injunction reads ... no telephone, text, email messages, no personal contact or specifically stay so many feet away or miles even. The restraining order lays out all means and manner of contact.
