I came across this. I think it would be very difficult for her to get a fair trial in this atmosphere. Things are very different there.

She had to deal with the cards that were handed to her......it's not the USA. IMO the facts against her are damning.

I wonder what her chances on appeal are?

Hard to tell.......politics will play a part in it. My guesss, and it's just a guess is that in 3 or 4 years the Italians will want to be rid of her, and she will get out.

Sorrrrryy. Have fun in prison.
I was thinking the same thing. They were just talking about how she's this cute American girl and it was unlike her............I had to laugh.

Apparently it was like her.

I suspect you're right. Apparently the bizarre sex and orgies and heavy drug use are not in question. She was likely strung out on drugs and didn't really remember all that went on that night. Kind of a Charles Manson type party where drug addled minds turned to blood and murder.

Her parents are moving to Italy to appeal. Here's a link to what happened:

Whoops, I didn't know this was already posted...but I can't delete it. Sorry!
I think many Americans think she did it. Drugs and freaky sex were what also motived the Charles Manson killings.

Her chances on appeal are slim. Most likely her family will bankrupt themselves trying to 'prove her innocence' when in reality they will likely just be throwing money into a black hole.

Can't say I blame them, all parents think their darling children can do no harm.

I HOPE she did it.

If she didn't do it and spends 26 years in prison that would be rather unpleasant.

Yes it did. Thats when I first heard the term Benjamin. I hadn't held many of those back then.
