Right back where I used to live we just got an email from a friend that says 40 homes have burned in the Ash Canyon area of Hereford.
This is such a bad year for AZ.

Ay, I know Making me a little nervous that it's so close to SV. Benson isn't too far and I'm scared because Cochise is really windy and could spread that fire quick!

I guess this is the price we pay for no tornadoes or hurricanes?

I guess that's it.
I hope the people that bought my home and property are OK but I know that area had an evacuation notice the other day.
I kept my acreage cleared away from the house but I also know what the blowing winds can do if nobody is there to watch things.

Actually, it's been a long time now, but this one was about the worst that Cochise County ever had.
My wife's relatives that live in the area for many many years said said the San Pedro River went mostly underground.
