can anyone tell me what Broadway is like??? I have visited Tucson 3 times not and really seem to like that area alot. Seems close to alot of everything.... Whats it like living there? What Elem schools are close by? Is there any after school programs like Boy and Girls Club that have little to no cost??? I am a Single mother of a 9 year old and i would need a after school program for her to attent. I want to be in a good neighboor hood with children.... I have also been looking into Phoenix as well but right now all i know is Tucson. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't answer your questions about Broadway, but I did see your other thread about Phoenix. You asked questions there about salaries. Generally speaking, for what you're looking for, expect to be paid even less in Tucson than Phoenix.

Wow thats so crazy how the salaries are so low in Arizona, but i guess its do to the cost of living being cheap. I really want to make this move but i dont know if i would be able to survive off a smaller income then what i am making now unless i went back to serving. How much is the Min wage for servers?

Broadway is a long street and extremely varied for its length. The small, far west side (disconnected from the other Broadway as it's across the mountains) is a collection of college student apartments. Just east of Downtown, it divides the Rincon Heights/student ghetto neighborhood from the nicer Miles neighborhood to the south. Past Campbell, it divides southern Sam Hughes from a collection of industrial buildings and low-end trailer parks. Then there's a wealthier neighborhood around El Con Mall, then it goes into mostly offices and shopping near Williams Center (Craycroft). East of there, it's a mix of retail, mostly low-end, large apartment complexes and housing developments from the 1970's.
I would suggest you move somewhere that's close to your workplace, just because it's not terribly easy to cross town in Tucson. With no freeways, traffic management is actually excellent, with low traffic and well-timed lights, but it still takes quite a bit of time to go from one side of the city to the other.
Low wages are all about your perception. If you're coming from, say, Southern California, then wages are going to appear very low. I've known a lot of servers, and they did okay, usually living in apartments or sharing a house with someone.
