REally? To me she seems like the kind of person who, as soon as the cameras are off, lights up a cigarette and barks, "Where's my f'n latte?" at her assistant.
ha!!! Gotta agree.....those peppy Rachel Ray types annoy me more than the Joy Behar types.
Jewish, Italian....who cares? More like harsh, obnoxious, pretentious, biased, hard to look at, showing the age of her ovaries with her inability to keep a thought for more than 5 seconds if she doesn't have a script that's already been more than played out to "pull from"...she's a pig. In more ways than one.
I enjoy Joy Behar. To me she is intelligent, funny, broadminded, and worldly -- all attributes that I admire in any person who has them. She speaks her mind directly and doesn't try to be cutesy -- and she's not mean to her guests as some other hosts I could name are. I like the format of this program much better than The View.
Joy's show is proving to be popular. In the February 2010 sweeps, her program was rated 4th in its time-slot, unusual for a relatively new program. And since it's dirt-cheap to produce by TV standards, expect it to be around for awhile.
I'm often shocked at how prejudiced against New Yorkers people from other parts of the country are. Southerns get angry when their accent is mocked. Mid-westerners resent being referred to as the "fly-over zone." Texans don't like it if you don't assume their superiority. Etc., etc. But it's OK to bash New Yorkers? (And BTW, I am not one.)
