I agree! I'll keep watching for now. I don't know if there will ever be a show to come along and give me the LOST "fix" I crave. I knew 10 minutes into the pilot of LOST that I was hooked.

I think The Event is trying very hard to give off a Lost vibe but they haven't hooked me yet.

I got lost about 15 minutes into the show and switched channels. I don't think I can wait or have the time to wait 5 years for a finale to find out what was happening.

Apparently we were supposed to be excited by seeing the plane disappear into a vortex of some sort. After LOST and Flash Forward they are going to have to do better than that. Five years is a long time to invest in a show. The writers will then weave back stories for all of the characters ad infinitum - most of which we don't care about, but then give us a nugget or two each episode to string us along, saying "The event is nearly upon us!!!" Just wait four more seasons to see what happens at the end.

Even if it could resemble LOST, the only show I want to look like LOST is LOST itself. When are they going to GET it? We want shows that are good because it's a good story well done...not so-so shows made to look in some vague way like a show that used to be on. If they can get their act together and make this show better AND original...well, I'll give it a chance!

Watched the pilot, and I won't continue watching. It just didn't hold my interest enough to want to follow it further.

we watched finally, last night. It did jump around an awful lot with the different times that these people got involved with "the event". We will keep watching as we were faithful Lost viewers and we did not appreciate ABC cancelling Flashforward.

ARGH! I'm so sick of everyone who watched Lost trying to compare every single show that comes on with that one. THIS IS NOT LOST. Different network, different actors, different plot. Can we please move on???

I finally watched it today and thought it was okay. Was that one guy Michael from ER? If so, then I counted three people from that show in this one.

I'm going to watch a few more times and see how it goes.
