I apartment sat for a friend of a friend one time and they didn't have any cable TV or internet at all. As a matter of fact, their TV only got one station. It was hard at first, but then it was great. I found myself doing more things, getting out more, being more creative. I was at the apartment for about 2 weeks and it was great. Then I went home and got back into the old rut of letting tv/internet interfere with everything.
I don't want to get rid of the internet because I do all my bill paying, etc online and I also do a lot of research online. I can probably live without the TV but I haven't gottten the courage to do that yet.
