I think we may be running out of old game shows, so how about the variety shows. Anyone used to watch them. Ed Sullivan, Mitch Miller, Carol Burnett.

I watched all 3 that you mentioned, nrth. Plus Lawrence Welk! I vaguely remember The Jack Parr show. Arthur Godfrey. Dina Shore. Some colored lady who walked thru a plate glass patio door. That's why decals were invented to put on plate glass stuff. Her name is on the tip of my tongue....

Not quite variety shows some.

Topo Gigio!!! "Good night, Edyyyyyy" Loved that mouse.

Yes, tami she was. And that's who I was going to guess from your description. Sounds like you and I watched a lot of the same shows. Topo Gigio is all I really remember from Ed Sullivan but Lawrence Welk is another story. He was a staple in our house every week. They still have shows on PBS of his that I will watch when I catch them. Carol Burnett was fantastic. The skits they used to pull off were wonderful. Maybe that was us semi-seniors version of Saturday Night Live.

Hee Haw
Laugh In
Smothers Brothers

If you'll pardon me for "highjacking" a moment....

I miss shows like TbaA. Little House, 7th Heaven, Waltons, 8 is Enough. *sigh* Those all were great shows. Imparted good moral values.

Oh wow! Sonny & Cher! Forgot all about that one. Don't think I ever missed that. Hee Haw was another staple in our house. Hee-Hee-Hee-Haw-Haw-Haww!

I'd like to see some Ed Sullivan, especially to see some of the actors, singers etc in their earlier years.

Remember this guy
