Has anyone been watching Coal on Spike? Maybe I have a really attachment to the lives of coal miners who the late Gil Scott-Heron as folks working in a grave yard 3 miles down. The miners who star in Coal may not be working on a mine 3 miles deep but the danger and human cost of coal mining are palpable in every episode. If you are get into Deadly Catch and Ice Road truckers, this show is a much watch for you.

I'm a viewer, it's an interesting look into coal mining and a peek into the lives of some of the miners.

The show now comes on Sunday nights at 7pm central time.

That's a lot of money for a poor, depressed area and people that don't seem too educated. However, it's not a lot of money to put your life on the line every minute of the job.

Insucance companies will tell you the highest risk is sun exposure for this class of work.

They are listed are same as well drilling because we both take resources from the earth.

So, the up side they see very little sun.
