At first glance, lots of marginally famous people - four teams have at least one member who has been in the news at some point.
And the teams seem older than usual. Only one team in their early twenties. And of course the 19-year-old, paired with his father. And then two teams have one member in their late twenties. Everyone else is 30 and older.
I agree with jkk. This is the best reality show. It's not about celebrities but includes real people. I can't believe some of the stuff they do. Although I think they probably had to cut back some on expenses, you still get to see places around the world which is interesting. Also, I like that you can never predict who is going to win until the last minute. Things happen that can completely turn the outcome around ... like a bad taxi cab ride!

I doubt there will be any cut backs! The show does well in the ratings - which means it makes money. And most of the expenses of the travel are picked up by the tourism departments in the places they visit.
