I agree 100%! I think with shows like X Factor and The Voice, AI has lost some footing. Of course, over the past few seasons, the talent has been okay at best. I think for awhile some of the contestants were chosen based on looks and 'pop' potential. AI is finally getting back to choosing contestants based on raw talent (at least with the girls from this season).

I've heard that this was the last season, then I heard there will be another season in 2014. If so, it'll be interesting to see how they revamp the show without Randy Jackson. I can't help but wonder what Simon Cowell thinks about the show since he left, but I know I need to let that go.

Default P.s.

I also like the fact that Kree and Candice are not the typical pop type of singers today. Appearance wise I think they represent the average young woman of today. Nothing against the Taylor Swifts or the Beyonces in the music industry (I actually like both), but the representation of their body images might send the wrong message to young girls that they have to look a certain way. I like that both Kree and Candice look like the all American home bred girls.

Also, I think Kree does best when she sings that country/bluesy type of song. I agree that it's really a toss up on the winner. I've said since the show began that I wanted a Kree/Candice finale. I think both will do well post-AI no matter who wins.

According to dial idol Candice is predicted to win idol tonight and they never been wrong when it comes to season finales Idol Analytics » American Idol predictions, statistics and analysis

I was hoping the song Candice would release be something similar to I Who Have Nothing so I could blow out the speakers in my truck.
It seem Candice wasnt to please with it with her after show commentary. Once she gets out from under the Idol machine and can create her own music she then will be a star.
I like the song and its a cool add on to her album but unlike the last two Idols who debut song went #1 I dont see this happening.

You'd have to be an alumni of Galaudet College (school for the deaf) to believe that Candice won't win. I'm sorry but Fuller's god awful song choices had me almost falling asleep during Kree's first number. The second set wasn't much better for either singer although I gave it to Candice because she at least got the song started earlier (the intros for bother were too long before really getting into the chorus). Third round... door slams shut and fat lady sings, metaphorically speaking.

I'm pretty sure Candice will win (and she should), but I do like Kree a lot. She may not have quite the voice of Candice (no one this year does), but I just like her as a person more. She's going to be a huge star in Country Music.

I am glad I was not the only one that felt that way. Hated those songs!

But love both women and look forward to seeing both of them becoming stars! Does anyone wonder if Kree wants Candice to win, so that is why she chose to sing first? Because if she does not win, then she has more freedom in terms of what label she signs with right? Kree sings backup on Kacey Musgraves album that was just released and I have a feeling many labels in Nashville are already knocking on her door. She might do better not being part of the Idol machine, however Carrie Underwood has not exactly suffered as an Idol winner.

Kree's 2nd song was preempted with a commercial here last night on Fox in Eastern NC--no apologizes and no excuses either.

I agree but the industry just acts like they have no idea what to do with bigger girls. Even country. Kree's sweet. Not outlandish and super redneck-y like Miranda Lambert and Gretchen Wilson to work as a bigger country singer. Plus the country industry is so damn Barbie is ridiculous. But I think Kree will do well. I don't know how people view Kelly Pickler but IMO she didn't do much. She was okay for awhile with some success but then she jacked up her body with those balloons and her face with Botox and her career kind of went downhill. Either that or they just focus WAY too much on Swift and Miranda to give attention to others doing well.

I wish Candice a successful career but I'm not hopeful. She should have Adele success because the girl has that kind of a powerful voice but she's typical. A big black girl with a powerful voice. She's not atypical like a big white girl with a powerful voice. I WISH it wasn't so but because history has repeatedly shown it I have my doubts.

That is a major mystery, unless the strategy was to go on first to make that first impression so that candice would have to top it, which now that I think about it isn't such a bad idea because if Candice came out and just blew it out the water then her coming on after would be truly anticlimactic.

Hmmm. Maybe Kree has a redneck side that we haven't seen.

As for the barbie thing, it seems to be all part of Nashville's general popization of country music in general. Ever watch Nashville?
