That's so great because the first time I ever saw Meredith Vieira she was on 60 Minutes and left the show because everyone she worked with was "too old." So the worm turns.
Anyway, the person I'd really most like to see is Anderson Cooper, but I think he's liking his regular gig so is probably not available. He's serious, he's smart, he's presentable, but every time he laughed you'd crack up.
When they were replacing Art Fleming I couldn't believe they picked Alex Trebek, who was doing some other cheesy game show at the time. I thought he was a lousy choice but I have to admit that over time he's proven me very wrong and I will miss the heck out of him when he retires.
Technically, Trebek didn't replace Fleming. Jeopardy went off the air in 1979. Fleming was asked to reprise his role as host when it was being revived. He declined because he didn't want to work in LA and he recommended Trebek for the job. The rest is history.
Fleming died in 1995 at age 70 from - wait for it - pancreatic cancer.
Not my choice, but watch it be Michael Strahan. He's everywhere.
I do not like Michael Strahan. I saw him a couple times when he was on Live with Kelly Rippa and he said some things about his kids I did not like. He also said he had not seen them in months yet they lived in New Jersey not far from him in New York. I will stop watching the show if it’s him. Jay

Michael wouldn`t be able to pronounce most of the words.
