If people are watching and see who wins how come nobody spoils the outcome?
why do you think final is NYC? They are enroute to LA--at the end of last episode.
I don't know why onlookers have never spoiled the finish line. I'm sure TAR crew goes to extreme lengths to isolate the area as much as they can. I never have seen observers anywhere near the finish line.

There are always spoilers. You have to know where to look, but a simple Google search should give you some. Most folks are sensitive to giving out spoilers and either issue big warnings or don't post them at all on sites like this one.
I was amused when one of the sweet scientist girls ran that bicycle cart into the parked van and saw that the camera cut away from the shot of the van owner checking for damages on the side panel. I imagine there was a producer's assistant somewhere in the background handing out Phillipine pesos for the damage.
For some reason I thought the final pit stop was also the starting point of the race?
The Final Pit Stop typically is not in the starting city. The race often does not go totally around the world. However, since the racers have to go from their homes to the start and go from the end to their homes, they actually do go around the world.
I think driving around LA should be challenging enough.
