I am really enjoying this season so far! There are quite a few very talented singers, I think, and I like the new judges Gwen and Pharrell. I'm loving the banter between the 4 judges and have been pleasantly surprised by some of their comments, as I didn't know what to expect. Can't wait for the battle rounds, but will hate to lose some of the contestants. Blake's team seems pretty young, on the whole, and he has 3 young guys that are similar, doesn't he? I don't think he did as well getting the people he liked to choose him. Lots of good comments about Pharrell by the contestants. It will be interesting to see how he and Gwen mentor their team.
I was a little surprised too that Blake didn't get all the contestants he would have liked. Gwen has been in the business for a very long time plus is a successful businesswoman with her clothing line. Both she and Pharrell had some compelling pitches.
Pharrell is so smooth and always seems to know the right words to say. Him being both a very current and very successful artist as well as a producer would certainly make me choose him. I'm not surprised that a lot of contestants jumped at the chance to go on his team.
I'd go with Pharrell too just because even if I don't win, I could get a record contract. Unless I'm country - then I'd go to Blake because he and Miranda take a lot of his team along on their tours.
There were some fantastic pairings in the battle rounds---wow! I think my favorite was 2 of Pharrell's team----the last 2 performers. So glad both went on, one stolen by Blake. Was also happy that both male country singers continued. Should be an interesting season!

I totally agree with everything you said. It was a great first night for battle rounds. Can't wait for the next round!
