I just finished watching (and have started AGAIN) "Velvet" a Spanish show. It is THE most romantic, sad, funny show I have possibly EVER seen. Waiting (can hardly wait) for the new season. Talk about unrequited LOVE...! OMG. There are no words... I tell everyone about it. I've come to the conclusion that men are the most romantic of our species. It's set in Madrid, late 50's. So much fun to see the show with American styled 50's music as the background. Again, I can't say enough about it, so I must be a hopeless romantic myself.
Finished up Portlandia(it quickly turned into one of my favorite shows) and am now in season 2 of "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" which is an awesome show.
Just finished Luther...very good...heard on another post that they filmed two more episodes this past March...does anyone know if they have aired yet???
Sanctuary is a well done Canadian show BUT is Science fiction...not for everyone..
But who doesn't like a gorgeous, brilliant woman with an Eng accent in the lead?
Doc Martin is definitely addictive...dry British humor and all.
Life in a coastal English town...oh the characters!!! 6 seasons...the last ending one soon available.
I always say, order the first disc with 3-4 episodes and see if you get hooked.
These are off the beaten path bec I've seen all the Emmy/Golden Globe award winning shows!
If you can order ''MI-5''...11 seasons...also a British addiction that gets better each year! Great cast. (Like the CIA)
