OK I seriously don't get it. I don't see much fashion in Kelly's design. And while hers was the only one on the runway that was avant garde, I was sure it was going to be in the bottom for being too literal. Avant garde, I thought was to experimental, different, and innovative, artistic, etc. I did not see anything that looked avant garde aside form Kelly's and hers was not artistic, or innovative, or experimental.

I was sure Ashley was going home, hers was just so blah. I mean the cape made a cook effect.

i am surprised the judges said that things were as great as they were. I think the avant garde challenges get less and less artistic as the seasons go on.

I agree. Ashley's nice and I wish her well, but that was a fugly outfit and she should have been booted tonight. You could see Mel B. was horrified by it.

But actually I was thinking that Tim might use his save this episode.

Goodbye Merline! Stop wearing so much makeup!

I was shocked Ashley wasn't booted. I really like her, but her designs are not up to par with the other designers. No one really screamed avant garde IMO.

It was an avant garde challenge. Not a pretty dress challenge.

I would wear most of Edmund's clothes.
Ashley just isn't cut out for this type of competition. Where was the bridge inspiration?
I loved the color of Merlene's dress. It would go fantastic with my hair.
Kelly's dress - OK, it was avant garde. The top by itself would be fantastic. And I agree with Nina - the back should have had the lacing.
Big surprise that Candice did color!

Right now, I'd like to see Edmund win it all.

I'm not getting how they can praise people only to find out later they are at the bottom. I actually thought no one would go home.

I'm wondering if Tim isn't going to use the Tim Gunn save at all this season.

My thoughts exactly. There are only four left. He would use it to save someone for the finals. I don't think he thought anyone was worthy.

Right And a few of the interviews I've seen or read, he sounded pretty irritated with pretty much all of them.

Kelly has come a long way! I was surprised that no one commented on her styling which I thought was perfect with her dress. The hair and brownish makeup and lack of jewelry showed considerable restraint which she seemed incapable of early in the season.

I hope Tim Gunn does NOT use his save this season. it will keep next season's designer's on their toes.

I'm predicting the final two are Edmund and Kelly (I know - that's pretty crazy)

I agree. Kelly has grown a lot over the season. I am disappointed in Ashley. She really impressed me in the first couple of weeks, but now she seems to have lost her motivation and is floundering. I feel like the judges gave her another week over Merlene based on her early success. I'm not sure anyone knew what avant garde means. lol Kelly was the one who admitted she didn't know what it was, but hers turned out to be the most avant garde.
