Just finished season 4. Great ending. I had to look on IMDB, and saw that there is a season 5 coming. I never read the books, so I don't have any idea what might be coming in future seasons, but if it did end at season 4, it would be a fitting ending for the whole series.
Great show. Anyone who has doubts about watching it, should go ahead and do it.

The writing this season was really strong
Melded two books pretty seamlessly
I was not that hopefully about Titus Wellaver S1--not because he is not a good actor but just because he is not the same physical type as Bosch--
Walter Mathau would have been the right size and morose attitude
But Wellaver has taken over this role, embued it with a menace, a "tauntness", a physical readiness that works really well to intensify the storylines and commitment of Bosch to discovering the truth behind any crime/murder...

The series has been great. The books are even better. One way I judge a book is by how vividly the characters, scenery and action remains in my head. I have trouble deciding which books (story lines) I have watched and which I have only read.
Just finished the 2nd episode of the new season. Trying to pace myself, hate it when it's over. Really enjoy all the characters and the actors that play them.
Finished today, good story. Damn, now I got nuttin to watch!!!

Almost done with catching up to new/current season but it might be over...
This season is really dark and Kerri Russell is extraordinary actress but lose patience with their continued blindness to what their government is having them do...
Have so much more sympathy for Oleg who sees his country for what it is and still remains loyal...
Just binged season 4 this weekend (see what rain does to your mind)... Great season
Won't give anything away...Great ending.....I just love it when a plan comes together
