I am not into the space wars type of science fiction TV show. I couldn't care less about Star Wars, Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica. I enjoy shows that focus on or feature wormholes, parallel universes, alternate dimensions and even time travel. I guess I am more into the scientific theory and exploration aspects than the good versus evil paradigm.

Based on the following five TV series, what would you recommend for additional science fiction TV programs?
  1. Stargate (SG-1, Atlantis, Universe)
  2. Sliders
  3. Fringe
  4. Quantum Leap
  5. X-Files

The Flash

Yes, it's a super hero show, and a little cheesy, but it has a lot to do with the multi-verse and different earths with different histories.

I've seen many of the episodes of the X-Files. I should have included that in my list. I'll revise my OP if still possible. Thank you for the other suggestions.

I've never really been into super heroes but the few I do like are under the DC brand so The Flash may be something worth looking into. Thanks for the suggestion.

Eureka, maybe? It's more of a comedy, but there's a lot of science in it.

I liked Heroes. That was a few years ago, but it's probably on Netflix.

I almost forgot about the Outer limits. Similar to The Twilight Zone, but with more Science.

And there's more: Fringe, Haven, and maybe Surface.

There's only one season, but you should check out Frequency - it's based on the movie of the same name, and should fall under the categories you like. I'm with you on that, btw! Sliders (at least the first 2-3 seasons) and Quantum Leap were two of my favorite shows ever.

Oh, and if you have access to Amazon Prime TV, The Ray Bradbury Theater is fun. A bit silly and dated, but along the same lines as Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits.

Any opinions on "Dr. Who" as it would pertain to this topic? I have never seen the show.

May great suggestions so far. Thanks again to all who have offered recommendations.
