People keep saying this but they don't realize that it was Rick Devins who gifted the idol to Chris. Dumb move.
Sure, Devens gave it BACK to him, but production GAVE it to him. That late in the game, there shouldn't be any immunity idols given to players, even if it requires another person to be useful.
I was out of town so I didn't get to watch the finale til Mon. night. I was so bored with this season, I fast-forwarded through mostly everything, just wanted to see who made F3. Then the "reunion" episode took 20 minutes to get to the winner. Fast-forwarded through that too. After Chris won, I stopped and deleted the episode.
First, I hate these gimmicks like Redemption Island, EOE, etc. Yet Probst consistently wants to do them (for the "social experiment" impact). I super-hate all the idols. It's bad when there are so many, you can't even remember who has them.
I didn't like the fact that the challenge for the EOE person to get back in was just like every other challenge. Which meant that if someone wasn't good at physical challenges, they just wasted their entire time on EOE. It should've been something totally different...something that gave everyone an equal chance. Remember the challenge where they were asked questions about the other players? Something like that would've been interesting, since they'd just spent all that time together.
And speaking of that, what happened to those types of challenges? Now it's all physical stuff with a puzzle at the end.
Devens played a super game but he was pretty obnoxious about it.
This truly was the first time I've been so uninterested in the finale and reunion. I know there have been dud seasons, but as I recall, most of them were due to dud casting. This was dud casting combined with dud gimmicks. I supposed I'll watch next season but right off the bat, we've got a gimmick, with two players that most people are SICK of seeing. I think the show is jumping the shark.

I still haven't and probably will not.

It has just gone way overboard.

He deserved to win, but I'm glad he didn't, for the same reason you stated.

It was a double whammy this season, casting and gimmick. Reem bitter as could be and those two that quit at EoE Island.
