I disagree. It may backfire, he did it to get rid of Marc, & protect those two losers, Declan & Amber. It remains to be seen if Gordon will think it was a good move or not. It is strange to see Declan & Amber go so far down in the rankings (imo) they started the season off strong, but seem to fall behind, further, every episode.

I agree w/ you here! I see that tactic Cody did because he was quite confident he'd stay over Marc & wanted to protect the other two. I was actually hoping 1 of those other two would be gone.
Good move by Cody for the sake of the Hell Kitchen audience. Marc had sunk back to his previous lows and deserved to get the boot. Cody saw the best way to make it happen.
OTOH, he could have put up Declan or Amber against Marc since he could knock off a potential competitor rather than someone like Marc who would have never made it to the end.
Either way, I'm glad that little yap-yap is done and the real cooks can get to work.
I’ve been watching the show for years and love it. I know almost all reality shows are heavily edited if not also scripted. In regards to the challenges in the beginning. Now I’ve seen countless over the seasons and is it me or does it always come down to the last dish. It seems the points are always so close that the last dish chooses the winner. I don’t recall there ever being a blowout or not requiring the last dish to decide.

I watch this show on DVR and I always FF through the initial challenge for that same reason. I hit play when they're ready to pick the winning team.
