Pilot was surprisingly good.. good acting, action, backstory. And the Superman outfit looks old school. They don't seem to be re-inventing the proverbial wheel. Thumbs up for their premiere..
I'm happily eating a "crowburger" every time I watch a new episode. S&L is far less "CW" than I anticipated it would be. It's really good so far.
It's very good so far. Unfortunately, after the next episode it goes on hiatus for I think two months because someone on the filming crew tested positive for COVID and they didn't have enough episodes already produced to carry over. So after the next episode Supergirl will fill in the time slot until more episodes of Superman and Lois can be produced.

Well, that's too bad. But better safe, and all that. May will be here before we know it.
Well, if the quality stays this high, this show is going to end up being the best live-action TV show to come out of DC comics. So far at least, it's far better than ARROW, FLASH, etc.

One of the reasons this show is setting itself apart from the usual CW fare: Most CW shows are soap operas for teens, and there are very standard ways in which soaps are plotted, paced, how each scene closes, how they are shot, etc. Shows like ARROW, FLASH, etc. follow this recipe to the letter.
Superman & Lois isn't doing that. At least so far. Each episode is crafted like its own mini-movie.
They also focus most of the conflict not on the capes and super villains but on the characters themselves. S&L is so far succeeding not only as a great super hero show, but as a great smalltown family drama.
I'm stunned this show is on the CW. It feels more like something you'd see on FX.
I agree, the show is good. Like others, I was expecting a CW soap opera, not the case. Finally a show where the hero kicks ass instead of trying to reason with the bad guys. Prefer this version of Supes over the movie one.
