Probst released more info about the upcoming season. The challenges are expected to be tougher and more brutal. He claims this is like a new version of Survivor. No more feasts for reward. Rewards overall with be much more minimal compared to past seasons. Tribes apparently will have to give up their flint every time they lose a challenge. Given that the season is 13 days shorter than ever before, I'd say it could be fair to assume it will be much more cutthroat. Tribal Council will come around quite often given there are still 18 people, at least 15 of which have to be voted out over 25 days. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Quite the interview with Probst in Parade Magazine for the upcoming season of Survivor. It sounds like food will be scarce, the game is quick (owing to the shortening of the season by 13 days with the same number of players) and he mentions tribes will be kept small throughout the season. Probst says the tribes won't be given daily food staples and rewards will be few and far between. You can check the full interview here: https://parade.com/1255516/mikebloom...1-jeff-probst/
Also CBS officially announced the cast. The average age is just over 34 ranging from 20 to 52. In fact, I believe I saw 3 people in the list 50 or older. There are 2 people in their 40s. The rest are in their 20s or 30s. That seems fairly typical lately. You can see info on the whole cast here. https://ew.com/tv/survivor-41-cast-p...2-31d21915185f
I see who my villain will be just from that bio - I wish she'd be the first voted out but we all know she'll last most of the game because it will keep viewers watching.

I wonder with the shortened time frame if they'll do more double evictions. I remember a few times early last year in WaW where Jeff sent 2 of the 3 tribes to tribal council the same night. I wonder if they'll do that again this year. Or maybe they'll have some TC's where they vote out 2 people. Or is entirely possibly they just do a tribal every day. I'm very interested to see what transpires.
I absolutely loved the first show. If the rest of the season is like that it will be fun to watch. I like the challenges and even though one was the usual puzzle they really struggled with getting the pieces where they needed to be.
The only negative was that ridiculous business about Jeff no longer thinking it was right to say "Come on in guys". One minute it didn't bother anyone and all of a sudden it was offensive to someone. I hope there isn't anymore of this nonsense in future shows.
Tonight's episode was intense. There was the need to make strategic decisions like every 30 minutes. Which challenge do we pick? Who does it and who stays back? Who gets on the boat? How do we decide? Which way do we turn the wheel? Do we tell our teammates the truth about the challenge? Among others.
And whoa, two tribal councils, both completely insane and unpredictable.
I like the cast. I can't explain why, but I'm rooting for the ex-football player to win.
