Anyone watching this? Just watched the premiere episode and it looks interesting. Emeril Lagasse made his first ever appearance on the show and I was a bit startled when he made his entrance. He was moving really slowly and when he spoke it appeared as if he has had a stroke (half his face was a bit droopy).
I like the contestants they've featured so far - especially the Burmese lady. And Joe Bastianich is still Joe Bastianich, the one to dissent when 3 other chefs all agree (Gordon, Aaron, and Emeril).
Miso banana cake lady was interesting - never would have occurred to me to pair miso with a dessert but I guess she really made it work.

He reminds me of Billy Packer, when he was announcing ACC/NCAA basketball. He had the best seat in the house for a great job, and still always had something to whine/grump about.
Several people cooked in sleeveless shirts. Gross! I’m sure pit sweat and hair got in the food.
The vegan burly life coach is annoying
Mary Jayne is going to be insufferable
Not sure I’m gonna watch this season
I didn't get grossed out by the sleeveless people. I hardly think pit hair got into the dishes.
The vegan guy is over the top and hopefully he will clam down, doubt it.
Don't remember which one Mary Jayne was.
I think Paula Dean turns on the southern drawl even thicker at times.
