Still watch L&O and L&O:CI. I rarely, if ever, watch SVU ( I just cannot stand Mariska whats-her-name).

I think that this season of L&O is the best it's been in a long time and I am looking forward to Jeff Goldblum on CI.

It is looking like Nicole or whatever her name was did get offed - they did DNA testing on I think a heart that was mailed to Goren. According to wikipedia, it will be back on USA on Feb. 5 and will run through May 21.

I used to watch the first one all the time, but after Jerry Orbach died, it just wasn't the same and don't watch that much anymore. We do watch the old repeats on TNT though sometimes when JO is on them.

Default Is this the end of Law & Order?

A few weeks ago CBS Sunday Morning interviewed Sam Waterston. Now MSNBC has this article. It doesn't outright say the show is ending, but the last quote from the city's film office:

"We will be sorry to see them go," she said. "But the show will live on as a model of what the possibilities are in this city."

Really makes it sound as if this is L&O's swan song. What will I do without my daily dose of Jack McCoy?? I wonder how much a 20-season box set costs.....

I honestly think it's run it's course, long ago.

Ratings have dropped over the years. How many times can they do the same stories? This goes for all the Law & Orders.

Yep, I was right--just announced. .

Well the stories were 'ripped from the headlines'....so in theory they could have gone on as long as there were headlines!

Yep, it's done.

I seldom - if ever - watched the first-run eps, even years ago. Always watched reruns. There will ALWAYS be reruns.

I had a feeling it was nearing the end when they started moving it around. Or at least it seemed like they were moving it around more than they once had.

I remember in its first season seeing a CNN TV critic saying "this dull cop show will be lucky to last the year." I wish I could remember who that was, but man did he get egg on his face! It's been around since I was 13 and lasted 20 years or so.

Still for me it started declining a bit with the retirement of Steven Hill/Adam Schiff and the addition of Elisabeth Rohm. Although I think when I actually lost interest was season 17.
