Glad to see the observer back. That sure was a longway 'round to get the results they wanted! As Walter said though, they are not human and we can't expect them to think like us. I think Liv will someday get over Peter's "cheating" on her with "her". Sounds to me like Peter is going to have to die to save the universes. According to what the obververs said. Most shows aren't on this week but I see Fringe will be. At least I can get to watch one of my shows. I wonder is the "professor" will be back? He was good.
I still don't understand the move to Friday nights. As someone on another thread said, a move to Friday is normally the kiss of death for a show. Are there plans for a season after this one? I love Fringe and would HATE to see it go.
From inside TV:
By some miracle of magic or science, Fox’s Fringe moved to Friday night and did not go down in the ratings. The episode — titled “The Firefly” (nicely ironic considering the show’s move to Fox’s infamous Death Slot) — actually improved upon its most recent Thursday performance.
Fringe, which featured Christopher Lloyd as a guest star, delivered 4.9 million viewers and a 1.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating last night. That’s right in line with its Thursday season average. Remember, Fox’s Kevin Reilly said if the show maintains its Thursday numbers on Friday, he’d renew it, so let’s hope the drama can keep this up.
I think the Friday night move was good for Fringe. Most adults don't go out partying anymorre on Friday nights and it's good to stay home and watch the boob tube. NBC's Friday night line up is no more...Ghost Whisperer, Medium and then...??? Forget what was on at 10 o'clock. CSI:Miami maybe? Fringe doesn't have all that competion on Thursday nights now. CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Bones(?), etc., etc. If I reme3mber correctly, X-Files was on Friday nights, moved to Sunday night after a long time and still did well with their following. I know hubby and I folowed it! Maybe the "death nights" don't mean certain death for certain shows. Let's hope so. Well, as long as the writing stays top notch.
Tami I do agree Friday nights ain't what they used to be. In my time as a couch potato I don't remember NBC ever having a can't miss show on fridays. CBS and ABC yes but not the peacock.
As far as Fringe's move to fridays goes, let's hope the ratings stay good. Shouldn't be a problem as there's no real competition
Friday night on CBS used to be Ghost Whisperer, Medium and whatever was on at 10 o'clock. CBS dumped Medium a couple of years ago and NBC took it over since it was a popular show. This life long couch potato can't remember NBC having "must see tv" either.
The bad thing about Fox is they cancel shows at the drop of a hat it seems. I was very into "DollHouse" and they sure didn't give that great show long before they dumped it. I know there have been many more showed deep sixed that people were enjoying but that's the only one I can recall at the moment.
I am so glad they moved Fringe to Fridays! Now I can watch it during the regular season instead of over the summer rerun season.
Now if they'd put a few other creepy or paranormal shows on Fridays to compliment it, I'd be a happy camper. I just can't get into 20/20 after immersing myself in the World of Walter, my brain gets whiplash.
I missed the Observer on Friday's episode. Does anyone know when he popped up?
