Don't care for the shows like The Office where cameras are supposedly following them around. Why did this suddenly seem like a good enough idea to create more shows like it? I do like Modern Family to a certain extent, but they're no Seinfeld or Mad About You, Boston Legal, L.A. Law.....It's been so long since there have been intelligent and funny shows that I can't remember most of them.
30 Rock is one of my favorite shows. I especially like the fact that much like The Office and Sunny In Philadelphia, there's no canned laughter.
It allows the viewer to laugh at what THEY think is funny and not what the network wants you to think is laugh worthy.
Agreed.
That being said, the show is in a rut. It isn't nearly as fresh and funny as the first few seasons. Liz Lemon as a character actually seems to have regressed. She has a disturbingly co-dependent relationship with Jack. Whether that is intentional or not, I don't know. Liz is still funny, but not nearly as likeable as she used to be.
Wow, I have noticed Liz as a character has been worse this season, but I really enjoyed the live episode. One of the best the show has had IMO. So many different jokes and man, they really took some whacks at some people.
Geez, the East coast gets Paul McCartney and we poor schlubs on the West coast get Kim Kardashian?
