Well they kept him in custody for a few months then deported him to New Zealand. He'll be back next season.

Let me fix your mistake for you:

Antarctic minke whales (protected since the moratorium apart from some special permit catches)

Commercial exploitation of Antarctic minke whales (the smallest of the large whales) began in the early 1970s, much later than the other large whale species. There are several hundred thousand Antarctic minke whales and thus they are clearly not endangered.

So Whale Wars season Permier was on the other night. Looks like they got a "bigger, faster" replacement for the Ady Gail. And they named it Gojira which (according to the show) roughly translates to "Godzilla" in Japanese.

I can't quite figure the sea shepard capitan out. I know his heart is in the right place (he co-founded Greenpeace) but is he doing all this for the benefit of the whales or the benefit of the donations he has coming in from all the press?

I watched the episode where they get the new boat that looks like a spaceship and gets hit by another ship. I heard about this and even seen the commercials for it and thought these guys were borderline terrorists. But having seen what they do to the whales I have a new respect for what they're trying to do. I felt very sad when they shot a huge harpoon at the whale then shot it with a gun numerous times.

Default Anyone see the new season of Whale Wars?

I saw the new season last Friday. I hope they put an end to the Japanese slaughter of these beautiful, intelligent creatures!
If anyone is interested in what else Sea Shepard does, they have a website @ www.seashepard.org (http://www.Shepard.org - broken link), it's very interesting and informative.

Nope. Won't watch it anymore since it makes my blood boil.

This is terrorism on the high seas. There is no law against whaling, only a trade group moratorium with an accepted annual amount of catch allowed.

No I don't condone whaling. However, I don't think some fringe group loony with his band of inexperienced lemmings needs to butt into the traditions of other countries when it comes to fishing. What if some wacko group from Russia decided to attack the crab boats on Deadliest Catch? Would you put up with that?

Furthermore the actions of the bumbling terrorists are dispicable. They are going to get themselves and the Japanese workers hurt becuase they fail at every thing they attempt. Reminds me of Wile E Coyote. In fact, Captain Bumbles has been thrown out of Greenpeace because he was too aggressive for their efforts.

I hope and pray that the Japanese Navy comes down to support the fleet and sinks all of the Sea Monkeys garbage scows, of course after deploying enough life rafts to assist the fools to a safe recovery.

But no, I have seen the show this season!

No, I got tired of watching a bunch of high seas terrorists last season.

The only reason I would watch it this season is if I found out the Japanese sank the ships that these terrorists sailed on.......

Watching the show last year and seeing these incompetent idiots, I just can't put myself through another season of that.

Not for nothing does anyone realize Paul Watson is on Interpol's wanted list AND this SOB gloated over all the Japanese citizens that were killed in the recent Tsunami?

A show that promotes a lying lunatic criminal and terrorist acts like Whale Wars does should be banned.

I stopped watching it because Paul Watson is an idiot putting a bunch of young adults in harms way. He couldn't pilot the Rubber Duck floating in my bath tub.

The funniest thing about the show is that the editing is slanted SO FAR to the Sea Monkey's side and they still look like inept morons.

But I can't stand their normal MO of 'shooting themselves in the foot' and then issuing massive press releases lying about the facts so the ill-informed empathize with them.

Sure many of us don't like whale hunting, but these idiots make you root for the whalers!!!
