Every time I turn on CNN to watch the news Anthony Boudain is on. I just turned it on now 7pm Mountain Time, He is on. I can turn it on earlier in the day he is on. The show seems pretty good, but I'd like to see the news sometimes. Especially when I'm turning on a cable news channel.

I like the show. I do not like all the CNN ads. I hope that the show is available on Netflix some day in the future.......

Not the same and probably not as good, Vice on HBO is interesting.

It seems like after Bourdain finished with "No Reservations" they sort of split the content of the show into two different shows... "Parts Unknown" is sort of the more adventurous side of the show, where he's going to more offbeat locations(in some ways) often in more developing countries and eating street food and so on--sometimes finding himself in edgier situations like the Libya episode, where "The Layover" is usually the visit a fairly well-known cosmopolitan city and go to the sort of trendy newer foodie destinations...

I think "Parts Unknown" works better when he goes to the more exciting foreign locations like Myanmar or Libya...

He is no longer doing "The Layover". This aired while he was still doing "No Reservations". I am pretty sure I read he was done with both shows. Most likely him and Travel Channel could not agree on proper reimbursement or he was ready for a change.

Yes, I prefer No Reservations. I don't think they are that much different and I prefer the shows where he gets away from the food more. Ultimately, he's a writer that happens to have been a cook at one time. But he is just phoning this stuff in; his CNN shows lack heart. I bet there's a story there about why. Even the South Africa episode was fairly boring and one-dimensional.

I wish they would make "No Reservations" and eventually the CNN shows available on Netflix. Without the ads I would watch/re-watch them.

There are many shows I would watch without ads and without having to clear the time slot from my schedule. No, I don't have a DVR (well actually two Tivo's-FL & SC and one DVR-NJ, but they are filled with my wife's shows).
