I saw the show on Mexico and found it interesting although he spent more time eating than explaining the culture and history.

Great show, similar to No Reservations, but perhaps a little more focus on things other then food, but still mostly about local cuisine. Top 5 currently aired tv shows.

Stay tuned. He LOVES Mexico and has many episodes breaking the cuisines and social challenges down. i say cuisines because each state is soooo different in cooking style.

I just watched the episode of Tony with Eric Ripert in Sichuan Province China, if those two hosted a food tour together I'd love to go along, I like that they get into not only the food but other parts of the culture wherever they are.

I've been watching AB since his first show on Food Channel & can tell when the shows run out of gas & they are just stretching to fill. Last night I watched the Nashville episode & it was lots of music, of course, & him getting another tattoo. It seemed like they felt the food scene didn't match the music scene, probably because it is so recent & a small city. Thank god they didn't do another barbeque place. The last San Francisco one was another meh show.

You can definitely tell when the crew/AB get excited about a show: Senegal, northern Thailand, Tokyo... the Shanghai show was amazing.

He tried to be all hip and s**t. We have a multitude of good restaurants, including a James Beard winner. Glad to see Margo Price get some air time. She's great.
