Oh man, this Oriental Trading Co guy seems to mean well but he put his foot in his mouth a few times with that woman who just got engaged.

Oh gosh- this shouldn't be funny but have you noticed alot of the CEO's on the show seem genuinely surprised that people are going through hard times right now? And not to be mean but I just about gasped when he shared that he worked the night shift and his daughter replied "People actually work at that time"?

LOL! Wish I could rep you again - that homecoming and the jaw dropping reactions were a riot - talk about out of touch! Did you see when he first left home and was joking about his car? I didn't even know exactly what was so funny - maybe that it wasn't a chaffeur driven limo?

Tonights show is bugging me. He offered .25 an hour raise ? In those working conditions? and something to drink 2 months out of the year. Yup out of touch.
I get his catalogs in the mail all the time but don't think I would buy his product.

A whole quarter per hour raise? Now maybe they can buy an extra package of toilet paper each month-woo hoo! What an insult.

Yes, they are out of touch. It irks the hell out of me. They are living high off the hog and the people at the bottom are struggling.

I guess, in North Dakota, just 2 months out of the year is hot?

It can't be that expensive to buy Gatorade especially if you buy it in bulk.

They may as well install a Coke machine with multiple Powerade selections and call it a day.

He was so shocked that all the employees had nothing good to say about the company. Speaks volumes.

Yea, a whopping $20 on each paycheck...woohoo

The family time at the piano seemed so fake as well too .

What gets me about this show is that a few people get some money and that's it. You know darn well that any changes will last just a few months and then it's back to business as usual - IF the changes don't get shot down immediately.

They must have thought up this show after watching the episode of Different Strokes where Mr. Drummond goes to work in the factory.
