I think the most concerning thing is there seems to be no recognition on his part that taxes on everyone are too high. instead of using the increased revenue to lower the exorbitant, non-competitive rates charged to most businesses, the revenue will just go into the pot. as for real estate, when was the last time san juan reassessed property?

Quote:
Rivera Schatz recognized the impact of said law, mainly in the real-estate market. “A greater openness is necessary over the years. Contributions of 5 percent and 12 percent are very attractive when here, employees pay between 25 percent to 30 percent, and local entrepreneurs about 33 percent.

Well, I knew this was coming. The government has a deficit and raising taxes comes next. That train is never late. The people get the government they voted for. If you are going to pray for rain you have to deal with the mud.

Attacking Act 20/ 22 the way they are proposing will send many of the people they are jealous of back to the mainland.

Is Act20/22 perfect? No. Nothing ever is. Did it bring money and people to the island yes.

With crypto down and people already having to pay 15k in fees just to live in PR......wait for that sound of people heading for the exits.

Even if it doesn't pass, just the noise of this will make folks wonder "what's next?"
