Hi I am from NJ - unemployed since 4/2010 same job for 3 years and i am curious how many weeks i have total to collect from what i understand i can collect a total of 26 weeks plus EB equaling 20 weeks is this all i get or is there more like tiers i am eligible for please help me anyone with your insight thanks.

You are eligible for up to 99 weeks. Usually if you get 26 weeks of initial unemployment you get the full 99 weeks. 26 weeks of initial unemployment, followed by Tier 1, then Tier 2, then Tier 3, then Tier 4, that is followed by EB if your state has triggered the TUR.
Right now, NJ is paying the EUC (Tiers 1-4 added on to the UI of 26 weeks) & EB (up to 20 weeks extra) even though other states are not because NJ does not rely for 100% federal funding. Most of us are waiting on this extension in order to receive our EUC (Tiers 1-4) and EB (up to additional 20 weeks after we exhaust all the EUC) because our states require the feds to fund.

You will get your 26 weeks, then (if they move the current Tier eligibility dates to the end of November 2010) you should get Tier I for 20 weeks. As long as the NJ UR triggers on EB (after Tier I) you will get EB for 13 weeks plus High EB for 7 weeks. 26 + 20 + 20 = 46 weeks.
It really all depends on what Tier you can start before the next cut-off date. Once you start a Tier you are allowed to finish it. EB is the last "resort".

Really? Oh I hope this is true i want the same benefits as every one else. I thought for some reason i wasnt able to get tiers i dont know why i thought they expired.

You should be fine because you're in NJ and that state has stepped up to make sure folks are getting paid regardless of federal funding. I'm not sure if that will change just keep looking out on these boards to keep updated about NJ as many people here are from this state.

In order for EB to become active, New Jersey had to have an unemployment insurance rate that averaged 6.0% over a three-month period. In periods of high unemployment, EB can expand to High EB.
In order for High EB to become active, New Jersey had to have an unemployment insurance rate that averaged 8.0% for a three-month period.
Note: In NJ EB is not dependent on dates or on funding, it is dependent on the unemployment rate.

I hope someone can help here as I can't find a link that I thought I had. I collect unemployment from NJ, but live in PA. I know, in 2 weeks when I go to EB that NJ will pay the first 2 weeks of EB, but then PA will take over for the balance. Once the newest extension gets passed, what it the trigger PA uses to fund EB and does anyone have a link that shows that trigger? Thanks
