Anyone else experiencing delayed payments this week in CA? I am wondering if the Labor Day weekend affected payments being delivered on a timely manner. Gotta pay rent! Come on Cali!

Of course, they didn't work on Monday so there's a 1 day delay.

CA website warned about this. Did you look there?

Welcome to the EDD Web-Cert

Important Message: In observance of Labor Day, the EDD will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013 and will reopen on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Please be aware that holidays usually add 1-2 business days to process payments and applications for benefits. In addition, in order to minimize any impact on our services, the EDD will take advantage of this holiday office closure for further work on new online UI services coming this fall.

I didn't get a funds transfer notice on Tuesday, but I wasn't expecting to. I was hoping to get it Wednesday, but didn't, and if I don't get one tonight, I'll try to call in the morning. I need my money, too.

According to the EDD website, the delay was to have been 1-2 days. However, there has been talk of further delays due to the new automated system and updates that were conducted over the holiday weekend.

A new payment system was implemented over the 3-day weekend. There are a _TON_ of glitches, including EDD employees authorizing payments and the system then creating generic disqualifications which prevent payments which EDD employees cannot override. We are truly doing our best (although the new system has literally doubled the amount of work we have to do in almost every aspect of UI--basically have to do everything twice from determinations, adjustments and appeals since now we have to enter everything on 2 systems) and are hopeful that the payment glitches will be corrected soon.

Hopefully the glitches will be worked out soon, because most of us really need the money, and it's rent time.

I tried for 30 minutes this morning, and couldn't get through. Plus, I started before 8:00am.
