So if I say something like I was fired for overtime but I was told that I'm an exempt employee so I don't agree with the reason for termination. Then the interview would need to get proof from employer to support the termination?
Don't mention the overtime again. Stop talking about it. Go with what I said before. You have your letter termination letter, and no reason was given, so you need to stay away from overtime from this moment forward. Yes, you wrote it, but you don't have to say any more about it.
