I filed a claim 12/25/2017, then got a letter in the mail that I had to do a phone interview with the employer which went good. Now I just got a letter in the mail of their decision to which I am eligible to receive unemployment. Decision date 01/11/2018. So back to my question when will I start getting my checks? Plus I was filling my weekly claims since 12/25/2017 and will they pay me the weeks that I waited on my first check? Thanks for reading! P.S I live in Iowa

They should have released payment 1/11/18. Something might be wrong, or you might have had a second issue.

If approved, you get paid for all weeks you claimed regardless of when the decision is made provided you are eligible for all the weeks.

What date was the telephone interview? You shroud also be getting a monetary determination which is often confused with approval to receive benefits. Just want to make sure there wasn't any confusion. If it was an actual non monetary determination, payment is quick. However, assuming the 11th was the date they wrote it but didn't send the authorization to pay until Friday and with Monday being a holiday, it may not be for another day or two.
