I have been putting in my UI claims for 4 weeks now. At the top of the page it states eligible and gives me a weekly amount. but 4 weeks have gone by and still no money, it still says ON HOLD and no payments have been made. Does anyone know what this means? Am I ever going to get paid? My bills are piling up

MA takes about 10 weeks from date of application to approve and start paying on a UI claim.

I have collected unemployment half a dozen times and never waited more then 3 weeks. All my buddies are landscapers so they get laid off every year and I’ve never talked to one that has ever once waited 10 weeks. If you have waited 10 weeks in Massachusetts there is a problem. 100%

This is key. These kinds of employers probably respond quickly because they do it every year. They probably have everything ready to send in because it's more efficient to process like separations in a batch rather than one at a time. You can search the threads. 10 weeks for MA isn't unheard of and doesn't always mean there is a problem other than they just haven't gotten around to it.

I'll admit though that we have very little traffic from MA, but the posts we do have are about the same. Therefore, it was concluded that MA can be slow like NJ.

Yes. Until it's been 10 weeks, stop worrying.
