As to the card and direct deposit, I don't know anything about how NJ does that.
You have to get off the 2/6 thing.
NJ DOL is going to take as a long as they want to decide the separation issue. When it gets longer than 6 weeks, THEN you can start to complain, and go to the next level, but for now, just keep filing your (bi)weekly claim forms each Sunday.
Gotcha... Yes I will try to put aside 2/6 thing LOL. It's just because it's first time I ever did that as far as claiming benefits earlier than what the notice said. Online after first time NJ's is always weekly claiming. But I had to laugh when BOA card arrived yesterday. First thing I thought was oh dang now this is screwed up too from claiming early. hahaha.
IDK why i got the debit card. I'm looking at piece of paper that says form of payment selected is direct deposit and all my bank info filled in. But nothing surprises me with state of nj. I will have to dig up my papers from way back when because I thought this happened once a long long time ago and it was still direct deposited even though I got the card in the mail. Thanks for your guidance. Will keep you posted. Hopefully the wheels move quicker versus slower.
UPDATE: Email received: Unemployment Insurance benefit payment has been processed and
sent to the bank for deposit into your DIRECT DEPOSIT account. (So not sure why I received the BOA debit card).
The payment was for the 1st two weeks claimed. So I guess even when there are no issues with the claim it still takes NJ a minimum of 17 days to pay on claim. Which noooo I'm not complaining about 17 days. LOL
Reference for others in NJ:
Timeline: 1/20/19 New claim Opened
1/26/19 NJ UI sent email with link asking for facts regarding last 3 employers
1/31/19 Claimed week ending 1/26/19
2/3/19 Claimed week ending 2/2/19
2/6/19 UI Email stating that benefits sent to bank for dep. into direct dep. account
Thanks for all the guidance/help.
