Has anyone been on PUA & then just recently been switched to PEUC (13wk extension)? If so, how did your claim change on your account home page? Ty

I am in MA. We have different web sites for each. I was notified I was no longer eligible for PUA because I had regular UI available. Then I went to the regular UI site and clicked the link to claim extended benefits.

It makes me wonder if after the 13 weeks we could go back to PUA if needed.

that is correct that in order to receive PUA you have to be found ineligible for regular UI. I think CA was quick to push a lot of claimants through as PUA claims just to get payments to them and then reassessing the claims later on. This is interesting from federal guidelines to the states (16-20) on PUA.

C. Operating Instructions:

1. Eligibility.

Section 2102 of the Act provides for payment of PUA to “covered individuals”.
“Covered individuals” are those individuals not qualified for regular unemployment
compensation, extended benefits under state or Federal law, or pandemic emergency
unemployment compensation (PEUC), including those who have exhausted all rights
to such benefits. “Covered individuals” also include self-employed, individuals
seeking part-time employment, individuals lacking sufficient work history, or those
otherwise not qualified for regular UC, extended benefits under state or federal law, or
PEUC.

so maybe after review a lot of the PUA claims will be switched over to other programs they were supposed to be collecting under. So if someone was exhausted under regular UI benefits and CA quickly threw them into PUA they now are coming back and switching them to PEUC because they are entitled to PEUC first and therefore not entitled to PUA. Makes sense to me.????

I've only read people on Twitter in CA who were on PUA and collected for a couple weeks. Then their account was flagged and their homepage said pending PEUC. Those people stopped tweeting, so I think they might have been paid since people tend to stop posting once they get their money.

Always... on bye bye to posting after receiving their money. Never give back on experience/knowledge. LOL

Yes, because he collected on PUA. I had to claim every week, be denied, until the current week after leaving PUA for PUEC. Their was no way to just jump to the current week. If I tried to decline for a week it said my claim will be canceled. So I filed all the same weeks as PUA, one after the other, got denied each week claimed until the current week.

This was MA but seems the same.
