+1.

Spot on. Thinking about getting locked up while those that should be locked up, walk away as winners. CRAZY! Like sheep being lead to slaughter.
Ever fought about FIGHTING?????

P.S.: Crimes against capital should be capital crimes.

So they have money for you to be locked up, but you're talking about living in a tent and begging for food? You know, in Greece right now they're in the streets, fighting for their rights as human beings in this society that continues to put billions in the hands of a few. How did Americans become so complacent and apathetic? What a slap in the face for all those who died for the rights that you don't seem to appreciate one bit. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

I'm reading how "Tier 4" of unemployment compensation has now run out. Why Congress doesn't (didn't) just have unemployment until a person is rehired is beyond me, but I don't vote (yet) so my opinion doesn't count (yet).

We have welfare, food stamps and Medicaid BUT there are no requirements for job hunting for any of those so don't waste your post talking about the 'budget'.

I've also been reading on other posts about the dire straits people are in, but not many are commenting on this thread about what they are doing to cope.

I haven't seen people stealing vegetables from the neighbors' gardens; rummaging through their trash for food products; steal their recycled cans (to sell them); unemployed sitting on the corner bench down town gripping their stomachs and rocking back and forth, back and forth. I haven't seen uncombed hair in public, unbathed, torn clothes and torn shoes, like orphans from Oliver Twist (or Les Mis).

How are you going to convince rich old Congressmen there is a problem if you don't SHOW them. After all, they're all about SIGNS aren't they?
