I just love it when Cap women "take charge"!

OK.... so Jim Jones' brother has said that even as a child, Jim was “Obsessed with Religion, Obsessed with Death.”

His Jupiter (religion & foreign travel) and Pluto (power, death & "transformation") are conjunct in the 7th house, and Jim's Neptune (retrograde) is in the Scorpio-ruled 8th House, of Death & "other peoples resources" (among other things).

3rd House stellium gives that charismatic & persuasive "gift of gab".

In vedic astrology, the North and South Nodes are known as Rahu and Ketu. Jones' Rahu (ruler over worldly desires, adversity, outcasts, phobias, crime, drugs, poisons, toxins, deception, increase in fame etc.), conjuncts both his Moon and Venus. Rahu/Ketu conjunctions are associated with extreme fate and karma, and are often found in cases of infamy and insanity (including Hitler, Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, Saddam Hussein, OJ Simpson, etc.). Vedic Astrology - Lunar Nodes, Rahu & Ketu (http://www.macsstars.com/articles/vedic_nodes.htm - broken link)

I also think that retrograde Neptune is key to his psychological motivations, but that's another side of it.

I just finished reading about Pseudo-psychologies such as astrology. There is no scientific evidence supporting it's creditability.

No scientific evidence to religion, either, but billions of people believe in its craziness.

I choose Astrology as my craziness in this crazy world!

Reveal your birthdate and any of us on this thread will be more than happy to add a new dimension of craziness to your world!

Good postings TIJ-
Especially the 'post your b-day info'
Just got off work- it's 12:30am and I'm freezing my noodles off while waiting for the windshield to defrost.
I'm in a fun mood- Anyone who can guess my job title or what I drive (must explain Astrologically) will get a free mini tarot reading.

The fun-loving side of you: Mars in Aquarius.

And if you blend that with Capricorn?

Classic Capricorn would drive a classic, conservative, understated car like a grey Buick.

Mars in Aquarius? It would have to speak of: Just look at this! Found this old 60 Ford Falcon in a junkyard, and I restored it. Who else has one of these on the road!!! (There's that Leo/Aquarius polarity for you!)

Ha! A 60's Ford Falcon is the first car I remember my parents owning as a child. And get this, I have my first vehicle - a classic, sitting on a mountain, no moving parts except the front tires- waiting for one of my boys to take on the restoration project. Won't tell ya just yet what kind of vehicle just yet.
I'll save the Buick comment until others take a stab.

BTW, anyone notice how many Cardinal sign folks are represented here?

flamingjupiter (Sagittarius sun, Aries moon)
Tobias C (Cancer sun, Scorpio moon)
Mateo45 (Cancer sun, Capricorn moon)
nan5623 (Scorpio sun, Aries moon)
OwlKaMyst (Capricorn sun, Capricorn moon)
tijlover (Aries sun, Capricorn moon)

What, no Libras....?
Although perhaps they might be among our "skeptical" friends here (aka, "I need more facts, to decide!").

Some skeptics say, 'no scientific proof' - well, science tells us that proof does not make something 'not real'. There has been scientific studies with earthquakes, clams, people (couples, murderers, mentally ill, etc) and more.
What would constitute proper proof for the skeptic?
Evangeline Adams was a famous astrologer. She did not get there by doing charts for people, though the people that where her clients are well known probably because they used astrology to their benefit. One client was JP Morgan.
E. Adams was arrested for being an astrologer, a con basically, using astrology as a supposed BS tool. While on trial she challenged the court to test the validity of astrology. The judge gave her birth information and nothing more. The birth info was that of the judges son.
E. Adams looked at the chart and said that this person had died in a accident involving water. As it was, the judges son had drowned.
The Key Players in Astrology
Proof enough? I doubt it. But hey- I am a skeptic by nature, I question everything. However, when I study something and I find that there is an accuracy that cannot be denied, I have to give it credit.
I enjoy talking with open minded skeptics. I don't enjoy being told that what I have spent years studying is bogus by someone who regurgitates another persons opinion with out doing thier own investigations.
