This chillout/hip-hop-ish/new agey album, which I still listen to regularly after nearly 15 years, by the Australian group Single Gun Theory fits right in with this forum's topic.

It also contains lots of cool spoken word samples to accentuate the lyrics, including Rod Serling, the captain(?) of the Enola Gay and a finance expert(!).

Grey area is another cool Australian group and Chroma key by Kevin Moore formerly of Dream theater has many samples and an introspective mood. The samples in this are from regular people the nomadic musician met in various places. Cant link from this mobile phone though....Good post just right for this thread.
