i had a bad dream that made me wake up seeing the dream was my mom was attacked with acid it was really scary she had acid on her face screaming help help ahhhhhhh she later died of shock that day THEN POOF I WOKE UP and then i got so scared i cried now since 4 in the morning i can't sleep i feel kind of distressed and in shock please help me im so freaked out
I would say that you are having or going to have a major change in your life that will happen suddenly that will be caused by someone else. You may lose something that is very dear to you. It could be your job, a relationship, or something else. Not knowing knowing you I really can't give you specifics.
When you dream of death, it doesn't necessarily physical death of someone (though it could). It usually means a change-a death of one chapter in your life-and somethings that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Apparently your mother is someone you care for very much. After all upon waking the dream effected you so deeply.
Characters in our dreams usually do not represent the people they actually are in real life, they are symbolic representations. What does your mother stand for? How do you see her? Is she a nurturing mother or a providing mother? How you see her is a clue to what this dream focuses upon in relation to your life.
As Cat said, it could be a change in employment if you see your mom as a provider.
However, more often than not, dreams are about the present and past then they are about the future. So your dream most likely is about something that has already happened and you are struggling to deal with it and make sense of it.
Well, what the means to me is that you need to elaborate on the circumstances of how she ended up that way. I would say it was guilt ( somewhere in you) or an excuse to not be with her. You very well may have had this dream because ( It's complicated) I'll have to come back and edit. It's kind of like ego in a a way.. to where she could end up that way since you are not there. Perhaps..you balance her in some way.. or, it would have to take something drastic for you to see her again and that makes you feel guilty. Perhaps, you had to have this dream to take action ( in your head) and make the necessary steps to see her. More of a motivation type thing. Looking for an excuse to change.
It is true that dreams like this also represent new beginnings but I have learned to break them down in different ways.

Dreams appear to be the way our brain processes memories and integrates them into our life's narrative. As OwlKaMyst says, they most often reflect what's already happened in our lives ... and usually you can relate the dream to something that happened in the past day or two, or something that was on your mind in that period.
Are you worried about your mom? It sounds like the dream was about something terrible happening to her as the result of someone else's actions, with you unable to affect the outcome. I'd start by examining what you have been thinking on with regard to your mom and her well-being, financial and relationship wise as well as health. There's also the possibility that your mom in the dream is a symbol ... maybe of your own nurturing (mothering) side, or of some other relationship you have that has nurturing aspects. So the main themes in your dream seem to me to be: nurturing, loss/destruction, and helplessness or the inability to step in on behalf of someone else.
I'd analyze the dream along these lines if I were you before assuming it has a prophetic nature. Sometimes a distressing dream, to paraphrase Freud, is just a distressing dream.

Well, with all of this great advise you have been given on this thread.. why are you not coming back to the thread you started? Is it a fear factor? Did we touch on something you don't want to talk about, or is classified in your brain as sensitive? Did you call your mom?
Some dreams can really be bizarre. I once dreamed I was cleaning my ears with a giant Q-Tip and when I awoke I discovered the cat was sticking his paw in my ear trying to wake me to feed him.
I had a funny dream recently - I dreamed the work foreman turned up in a tee shirt, shorts and sandals (he was off with and eye injury). That morning her turned up in a tee shirt, shorts and sandals! (To drop of his doctors certificate). That was weird! I trust the OP didn't dream something that went and happened!

That was funny! I don't find much funny these days, but that made me laugh.
Mothers in dreams often represent your intuition. If your mother got acid in her face it's probably pointing to feelings of some kind of terrible luck or bad coincidences. Like your ability to make good choices looking ahead of hampered in some way.
